Notre Dame's Fighting Irish
The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame are under pressure to make their mascot a little more politically correct, you can see in this image the raised fists have been crudely altered so that they appear to be holding a basketball. Normally we would be given the impression that the little guy was about to take part in a drunken brawl, now he appears to be taking part in a drunken basketball game.

it looks like he's got little stumps instead of fingers, as if he'd lost them in a fight at some point.
speaking of mascots...i left the alouette bird hanging from a leaping high five.
