from an Agence France - Presse report

PRAGUE- An interactive internet game developed to teach young Czechs the history of one of the worst Second World War German atrocities in the country has been withdrawn following uproar over its content. The interactive Internet site invited visitors "to burn down Lidice in the shortest possible time" and awarded points for Czechs killed.

A little background; At Lidice, on the outskirts of Prague, the Nazis shot 192 men over the age of 16, deported 196 women to one concentration camp and their children, (105) to another camp. The Nazis were taking revenge for the assassination of a top Nazi, (I feel no need to print his name).

It's a funny old world.
